We had a very good turn-out for the annual village litter pick which took place on 10th Feb—there were 17 of us! It never ceases to amaze me how much rubbish people dispose of in the hedges and verges. Again this year we found a large number of wine bottles amongst other things!
Thanks to everyone who helped out, see picture above. Also thanks go to Nick Tatham who cleared a long stretch at the top of the village earlier in the day, Rob Hislop for letting us put the rubbish sacks in his big bins, and to Calne Without Parish Council for lending us the litter picking tools and high viz jackets.
