It looks like the roads through the village will be a little chaotic from March through to May due to 3 separate road closures:
Road past Blackland Mill.
- There will be traffic lights on the road from 11th March to the 22nd March.
- The road will be closed between 8th April and 19th April from 9am to 3pm.
- This is for resurfacing and other related works.
- Unfortunately the road via Blackland will be closed at the same time (see C below) and therefore the traffic that ignores the diversion via Beckhampton will go through the village via Theobalds Green. Be prepared for more traffic and congestion!
Road from Blacklands Crossroads to the Reading Room.
- The road will be closed from 28th May to 2nd June for Wessex Water to install new water mains. The traffic order says that access will be maintained for residents but delays are likely and the diversion via Theobalds Green will be signed.
Road from Blacklands Crossroads to Stockley Lane.
- The road will be closed from 2nd April to 24th May again for Wessex Water. The traffic order says that access will be maintained for residents but delays are likely.
