Here is the answer taken from Master R Maundrell’s exercise book in 1879 whilst he was studying at the recently opened (1875) Collegiate School in Warminster. The stated aim of the school was to ensure “The pupils are prepared for the Universities, Public Schools, the Liberal Professions, the Civil and Indian Services, Mercantile and Agricultural pursuits, and the various departments of practical life.” (taken from Kellys Directory of Wiltshire 1880).
