“writing this whilst still in shock is probably not the best idea! But I’m hoping dog walkers in the area will read this and pay attention. I walk in all different local areas but this happened on the A4 (gallops side) today. I was cleaning my dogs down at the end of my walk and a dark blue Vauxhall astra car with two men inside that had strong Irish accents pulled up beside my van and said “hay love are you grooming or something” as I replied no I noticed they wernt even paying attention to me they were just really checking the dogs out. I instantly felt uncomfortable and quickly put my dogs in the van as they were still asking me questions and said a seedy comment like “I’d like to groom you”, I got in my van and locked my doors as quick as I could not even looking at them. By that time they had parked up behind me. They didnt get out and as I drove out they followed me out and all along that main stretch of road. so clearly had no intentions of getting out and walking up on to the cherhill downs. The police have been informed and have said it links up with other information they have been given so please take note. please call 101 if you have experienced any suspicious behaviour. As always this is facebook and I expect lots of people will take this as a joke but I’m not easily scared and knowing I would have been helpless at that very point really shook me up to the point that I couldnt breathe properly and felt like I was going to collapse. They were after something! And this is not to scare anyone but I believe as I had much older dogs with me they didnt attempt anything.”
